Due to the number of Julie Shens in the universe, I decided to go by Julie Cola Shen.
After realizing that the conventional lucrative future I've been brought up to aim for is not for me, I began taking art more seriously.
This site is a showcase of how far I've come, skill-wise. My goal is to fully occupy myself and become totally self-sufficient through art in its many forms: illustration, photography, and a not-so-secret-anymore dream of tattooing.
Art influences include Peter Chung (Aeon Flux), Egon Schiele, Yutaka Minowa (Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust), lowbrow artists, pinups, movies, tattoos, and science-fiction. A couple of years ago, I finally got a DSLR.
I live in a building in the middle of Manila. I may or may not be that blue-haired girl running around (apologies for the bitchface for it is somewhat stuck that way). Polar bears are my favorite animal. Brainstorming is fun.
